This includes operating the world´s largest ornamental fish laboratories, spread over two sites in Germany and the USA. In addition, Tetra is the only company within the aquatics industry to have an independent accreditation for its laboratories (ISO/IEC 17025:1999). This, coupled with strong links to numerous external universities and laboratories, ensures that our products have been proven to work using scientifically accurate methods, and deliver unrivalled performance.

As well as investing in innovative solutions for aquariums and ponds, Tetra also uses the best available manufacturing technologies. This further improves the quality of our products, as illustrated by the patented low-temperature extrusion process used to make TetraMin Crisps and TetraPro. In this example, an ideal dietary formula is made even more digestible and nutritious through an improved production process.

Throughout the manufacturing process, every batch of a Tetra product is subjected to rigorous quality control (ISO accredited), to guarantee consistency. This includes subjecting every batch to both chemical and biological tests prior to release for sale. By doing this we ensure that no Tetra product leaves our facilities unless it meets our extremely high standards.
